Key Responsibilities- Operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners to produce high-quality images of patients.
- Monitor patient safety and comfort during the scanning process.
- View images of the area being scanned to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Administer gadolinium contrast dosage intravenously as needed.
- Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and position them on the examining table.
- Enter patient data into the computer system, including medical history, anatomical area to be scanned, and orientation.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) and registered or registry eligible in MRI.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
