Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. As a key member of our pediatric critical care team, you will provide comprehensive care to critically ill children and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient care management within a collaborative practice model for children of all ages.
  • Perform comprehensive histories and physical exams, identifying normal and abnormal findings.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, developing pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatment plans.
  • Serve as an educational resource for patients, families, healthcare professionals, and students.
  • Facilitate patient referrals to other medical providers, medical facilities, and health/social service agencies as needed.
Requirements
  • Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice or Master's or Doctorate degree in Medical Science.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in the state of Georgia or licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Georgia.
  • Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioner Certification Program (AANP), Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB), or National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
