Part Time Building Services Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Part Time Building Services Worker to join our team at the University of Georgia's Rock Eagle 4-H Center. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our buildings and cottages, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Prepares buildings and cottages for guest arrival and use, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning furniture, windows, and trash cans.
- Cleans public areas, restrooms, and drinking fountains, and replenishes supplies in supply closets.
- Operates vacuums, wet vacuums, shampooer, and other floor machines to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Completes setup of meeting facilities by arranging tables and chairs according to guest requirements.
- Operates laundry, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and storing linens, and prepares for guest linen requests.
- Inspects cottages and buildings, documenting work orders as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and follow established routines and procedures.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical usage, and safety protocols.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds, work from ladders, and work with arms and hands overhead.
- Ability to work long hours in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
