Rite-Solutions, Inc. is seeking a skilled Model-Based Systems Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC. As a key member of our digital engineering team, you will play a critical role in driving the transition to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) across our naval systems programs.

As a Model-Based Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive models, including hardware and software architectures, use cases, behavioral models, and mission simulations. You will work closely with our Director of Digital Engineering to drive MBSE initiatives and deliver exceptional value to our government customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, with experience in MBSE methodologies and tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler and MagicDraw. You will be able to articulate the benefits of MBSE to diverse audiences, including non-technical decision-makers, and work seamlessly with government customers to define and execute MBSE strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive models, including hardware and software architectures, use cases, behavioral models, and mission simulations.
  • Work closely with our Director of Digital Engineering to drive MBSE initiatives and deliver exceptional value to our government customers.
  • Articulate the benefits of MBSE to diverse audiences, including non-technical decision-makers.
  • Work seamlessly with government customers to define and execute MBSE strategies.
Requirements:
  • 5-8 years of applicable industry experience.
  • 2 years experience may be supplemented with a Master's of Science in Systems Engineering or a related technical field.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering or a related technical field is required.
  • Working knowledge of SysML and its 9 diagrams.
  • Experience building all 9 SysML diagrams.
  • Experience implementing MBSE on new or legacy systems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to articulate the process of creating models for legacy and new systems.
  • Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, or other comparable system modeling tool.
Additional Skills of Interest:
  • OMG-Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) certification.
  • INCOSE Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) or Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.
  • Experience in Agile MBSE and doing MBSE within an Agile software development environment.
  • Experience with system of systems (SoS) modeling and the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
  • Experience developing custom report generation templates using Velocity Templating Language (VTL).
  • Experience implementing MBSE on Naval or DoD systems.
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
