Transform Naval Systems Engineering with Model-Based Systems Engineering

Rite-Solutions, Inc. is seeking a skilled Model-Based Systems Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC. As a key member of our digital engineering team, you will play a critical role in driving the transition to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) across Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive models, including hardware and software architectures, use cases, behavioral models, and mission simulations.
  • Apply MBSE methodologies to both new and legacy systems, ensuring models meet the evolving needs of stakeholders.
  • Articulate the benefits of MBSE to diverse audiences, including non-technical decision-makers, and work seamlessly with government customers to define and execute MBSE strategies.
Requirements:
  • 5-8 years of applicable industry experience, with 2 years of experience may be supplemented with a Master's of Science in Systems Engineering or a related technical field.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering or a related technical field is required.
  • Working knowledge of SysML and its 9 diagrams.
  • Experience building all 9 SysML diagrams.
  • Experience implementing MBSE on new or legacy systems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to clearly articulate the benefits of MBSE to various stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • OMG-Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) certification.
  • INCOSE Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) or Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.
  • Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, or other comparable system modeling tool.
  • Experience with system of systems (SoS) modeling and the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
