Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This role will involve monitoring outstanding debts, communicating with insurance companies and customers, and utilizing proactive measures to ensure timely payments. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, and enjoy taking ownership of their work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor all accounts to identify outstanding debts
  • Contact insurance companies and/or customers to inquire about overdue invoices
  • Implement proactive measures to ensure timely payments
  • Maintain collection notes in QuickBooks and proprietary software
  • Create and maintain collection activity logs and present weekly progress to the Office Manager
  • Perform accounts payable activities
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in collection activities
  • Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques
  • Understanding of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional phone etiquette
  • Negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with QuickBooks is a plus
  • High school diploma, Associates Degree is a plus
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law
Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
