Position Overview:
This role is designated for the Air Mobility Command, focusing on maintaining cleanliness and order within lodging facilities. Employees in this intermittent (flexible) position may work up to 40 hours weekly, although no guaranteed hours are provided.
Physical Requirements:
The job entails light physical activity, with occasional lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 20 lbs.
Access to Base Amenities:
Employees are eligible to utilize various base facilities, including the Base Exchange (BX), Gym, Outdoor Recreation, Library, Marina, Golf Course, Bowling Center, and Arts & Crafts Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning duties in guest rooms, hallways, staircases, and other designated areas.
- Sweep, dry mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors using appropriate cleaning tools.
- Sanitize guest room appliances, utensils, and dishes.
- Dust, wax, and polish furniture, and clean walls, windows, and blinds within reach.
- Change linens and make beds, ensuring a tidy appearance.
- Collect soiled linens and deliver clean linens to designated locations.
- Update room status and occupancy using the telephone system.
- Clean and disinfect lavatories, replacing necessary supplies such as toilet tissue and soap.
- Report maintenance issues such as broken windows or leaks to the supervisor.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying the supervisor when restocking is necessary.
Eligibility and Qualifications:
- Open to all applicants, with preference categories considered.
- No prior experience or training is required.
- Ability to follow simple instructions and operate lightweight cleaning equipment is essential.

- Candidates must meet all qualification and background requirements.
- Direct deposit is mandatory, and a probationary period may be necessary.
- This position is part of a bargaining unit under the AFGE union.
