Job Title: Cardiovascular Sonographer

We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Sonographer to join our team at HeartPlace PLLC - US Heart and Vascular. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing echocardiography and vascular studies, as well as related tests, in accordance with acceptable medical practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform 2-D Echo and Doppler studies
  2. Conduct Stress Echo studies
  3. Responsible for performing a variety of noninvasive vascular evaluations
  4. Explain procedures to patients and obtain informed consent
  5. Obtain insurance precertification for testing as necessary
  6. Perform test result abstracting to EMR as necessary
  7. Call patients with appointment reminders and test results as necessary
  8. Follow all OSHA and other safety guidelines
  9. Ensure all required licensure/certification remain active/current at all times
  10. Provide excellent customer service and the highest quality patient care
  11. Protect the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) of patients per HIPAA regulations
  12. Actively demonstrate teamwork at all times
  13. Perform all other duties as required by management
Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or GED from Texas Accredited equivalent
  2. At least 2 years of practical experience
  3. Currently registered as a Cardiac Sonographer through ARDMS or CCI
  4. Currently registered as a Vascular Sonographer or vascular registry eligible and completed by deadline set by the Company
  5. Current CPR certification
  6. Fluently speaks, reads, and writes English; Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  7. Understanding of OSHA requirements in a clinical setting
  8. Understanding of HIPAA requirements
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  10. Ability to meet physical demands of the job
