Position Overview:

The Financial Aid Coordinator is responsible for managing financial aid and private loan operations, enforcing financial aid policies and procedures, and ensuring adherence to financial aid regulations. Collaborate with the General Manager, Admissions, and Student Services to maintain high standards of customer service. Execute administrative tasks and generate management reports with accuracy and punctuality, while complying with institutional, state, and federal guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate student records for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
  • Conduct verification of financial aid application information and assess student eligibility.
  • Assist students and their families with the financial aid application process.
  • Clarify financial aid awards to students and parents regarding their eligibility.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in student financial aid files.
  • Manage financial aid packaging for initial and subsequent academic years.
  • Oversee all electronic processing tasks, including ISIR, FAFSAs, and MPNs.
  • Handle all aspects of loan processing, from certification to reconciliation.
  • Ensure timely and precise processing of financial aid.
  • Stay informed about relevant regulations (federal, state, and institutional).
  • Calculate R2T4 refunds for student drops and withdrawals.
  • Provide updates on financial aid status to the campus admission coordinator and General Manager.
  • Generate notifications for default prevention to students.
  • Produce monthly, weekly, and daily financial aid reports to verify the approval of grants, loans, and other funding sources.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Understanding of DOE/Title IV regulations.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Admissions team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong follow-through capabilities.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
