Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Specialist to join our team at Transcend Practice Management. As a Financial Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for managing existing client relationships, interpreting various planning documents, and responding to client inquiries and requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage existing client relationships to ensure high-quality service and retention.
  • Interpret various planning documents, including account statements, tax returns, estate documents, life insurance policies, and annuity contracts.
  • Respond to client inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct client reviews to assess their financial planning needs and provide recommendations.
  • Meet with clients and work with support staff to prepare illustrations and presentations.
  • Correspond with clients, their family members, and strategic alliances to ensure effective communication.
  • Continuously maintain client relationships by understanding their unique circumstances, connections, and interests.
  • Take a proactive approach to client service and collaboration with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of financial planning services.
  • Stay current on trends and regulations within the financial planning arena to provide expert advice to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as finance, accounting, or business.
  • 5-10 years of experience as a financial planner providing advice on investment, tax, risk, education, and estate planning topics.
  • Hold the CFP designation or CPA/PFS (Personal Financial Specialist).
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Relationship management skills and a positive attitude.
  • Confidence and adaptability, with a drive to help clients and colleagues.
  • Professionalism and strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and financial planning software.
  • Clean compliance record.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience managing and mentoring a team.
