  • Accurately gather, label, and submit specimens for laboratory evaluation.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations, treatments, and medical procedures.
  • Prepare and administer medications and injections, ensuring correct dosages are verified.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patients' conditions and responses to treatments to healthcare providers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sterility of examination rooms and medical instruments.
  • Adhere to infection control standards and policies, ensuring proper hygiene practices.
  • Coordinate patient testing and admissions, providing necessary instructions.
  • Handle incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate healthcare providers.
  • Educate patients on medication and treatment protocols prior to discharge.
  • Record and update test results in patient charts.
  • Provide and explain educational materials to patients as needed.
  • Address patient inquiries and concerns effectively.
  • Assist in escorting patients to designated areas within the facility when required.

Patient Management:

  • Inform and document patients regarding test outcomes as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Notify patients about upcoming follow-up appointments as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program, with a minimum of one year of experience in a similar role.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing medical education as requested by the employer.
  • Comprehensive understanding of nursing principles and practices to assess and deliver patient care effectively.
