Lead Aviation Security Operations at ACTS-Aviation Security Inc

Join a leading provider of security solutions and services in the aviation industry. As an Operations Manager at ACTS-Aviation Security Inc, you will be responsible for driving best-in-class security, safety, and compliance within your unit. This includes delivering on operational metrics, developing and growing customer relationships, and exceeding financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define staffing schedules, manage labor hours, and work with HR to ensure full staffing and minimize overtime.
  • Drive year-over-year productivity improvement in your station.
  • Ensure effective working relationships with local unions and minimize employee relation issues.
  • Implement the ACTS-Aviation Security safety program within the station, meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Capture all potential revenue opportunities across the existing customer base.
  • Oversee and continually develop security measures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with airlines, catering companies, and airport staff, expanding operations in multiple locations within the airport.
  • Work with Regional HR Manager to recruit, hire, and retain high-quality Security and Cargo Screening Agents.
  • Monitor training and ensure all employees are up-to-date in their training.
  • Coordinate annual training programs.
  • Review and analyze daily reports to address performance gaps to budget.
  • Discipline employees as necessary.
  • Maintain all provisions, regulations, procedures, and processes in the current collective bargaining agreement.
  • Provide coaching, development, and performance reviews to Security and Cargo Screening Agents.
  • Ensure and maintain all security-related records as indicated by local Airline Customers, TSA, and other Governmental Agencies.
  • First point of contact in addressing compliance issues raised by customers or TSA, preparing incident reports to ensure problems are addressed and allow for effective defense of any penalties.
  • Ensure all Government, Customer, Airlines, and local requirements are met.
  • Report daily, weekly, and monthly activities to the appropriate members of management.
  • Conduct and ensure all training and orientation are provided to employees.

Requirements:

  • Strong operational management experience (5-10 years), preferably in airport operations.
  • At least 5 years at the management level or equivalent.
  • Experience in cargo and warehouse management.
  • Experience managing in a union environment.
  • Operational experience building and growing a business or service line.
  • Preferred: Federal security experience, i.e., FAA or TSA; experience in the airline/airport industry; security experience, i.e., law enforcement, military police, corporate security, etc.

Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and presentation skills.
  • Strong PC computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with the Internet.
  • Business acumen.
