We are seeking a Bioinformatics Associate, Oncology to join our expanding clinical operations bioinformatics team. The bioinformatics team is responsible for the analysis and automation of pipelines for our Northstar oncology products. Our sample volume is increasing rapidly.

As a Bioinformatics Associate, you will collaborate with other scientists to enhance our analysis pipeline to process tens of thousands of samples.

Responsibilities:
• Develop sophisticated and robust next-generation sequencing analysis pipelines under the guidance of a senior scientist
• Analyze clinical bioinformatics data
• Compile and assess quality metrics from the clinical laboratory
• Collaborate with scientists to support new scientific insights

Requirements:
• BS or MS in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Bioengineering, Physics, or a related field
• Strong programming skills in Python
• High mathematical and statistical aptitude - ability to reason from first principles
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Eligibility to work in the United States without immediate sponsorship (Post-graduation OPT is acceptable)

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in a start-up environment
• Familiarity with software development practices
• Background in biophysics, molecular biology (DNA purification, PCR, electrophoresis), or next-generation DNA sequencing laboratory experience
• Experience analyzing molecular oncology NGS data
