Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate At Home Senior Caregiver to join our team in the Durham area. As a caregiver, you will provide personal care and companionship to our clients, assisting them with daily living activities and promoting their overall well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Provides personal care to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provides continuous companionship for clients while on duty, engaging in activities such as conversation, reading, and watching movies.
  • Assists clients with meal planning, grocery shopping, and food preparation.
  • Cleans the kitchen and washes dishes after meals.
  • Assists clients with light housekeeping and laundry.
  • Observes clients' physical, emotional, and mental conditions, and reports any changes to the coordinator.
  • Keeps accurate records of all activities while in the client's home.
  • Provides a sense of security for clients and protects them from harm.
  • Assists clients with daily living activities, excluding medical care.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of caregiving experience.
  • Strong sense of professionalism and reliability.
  • Valid Driver's License REQUIRED.
  • Personal, reliable transportation to and from shifts.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must comply with all agency policies.
  • Dementia/Alzheimer's experience a plus.
  • CNA a plus.
