About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer to join our team at MAPFRE Insurance. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop custom software applications and update existing software products using Java, cloud native (AWS), microservices, and JavaScript.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software development projects and ensure timely delivery.
  • Develop and maintain software development processes and procedures to ensure high-quality software products.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our software solutions remain competitive and innovative.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java, cloud native (AWS), microservices, and JavaScript.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
