Pharmacy Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy team and provide exceptional patient care. As a Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve patient outcomes, leading a team of pharmacists and technicians, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the safe and efficient dispensing of patient orders, ensuring adherence to quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Model excellent patient care by respecting, engaging, and enthusiastically meeting or exceeding patient needs, including counseling and problem-solving.
  • Perform all duties of a pharmacist, including interpreting, filling, and refilling prescriptions, reviewing clinical aspects of prescriptions, and maintaining patient profiles.
  • Demonstrate adherence to company, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations through example and coaching.
  • Provide an optimal team and patient experience by proper scheduling, delegation of work assignments, and efficient use of supplies and equipment.
  • Manage inventories by tracking daily reports, overseeing physical inventory counts, and ensuring proper storage of medications and supplies.
  • Work with the Supermarket team to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and oversee selection, training, development, performance, recognition, and empowerment of staff to ensure continuous engagement and improvement of department services.
  • Maintain a neat and sterile work environment to comply with company, local, state, and federal government requirements.
  • Review and analyze service and business metrics and contribute to action plans to improve outcomes.
  • Complete required audits and paperwork.
