Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Chief Pharmacy Officer to develop and implement strategic objectives that align with the overall plan.
- Assist in implementing growth business and marketing plans to drive revenue and market share.
- Plan, implement, and direct Pharmacy operations based on accepted standards of professional practice and state and federal laws.
- Oversee activities related to procurement, distribution, monitoring, and utilization of pharmaceuticals in all patient care settings.
- Ensure the development and provision of exemplary pharmaceutical care to patients.
- Lead a team to ensure goals are met and deploy initiatives to achieve as needed.
- Identify performance improvement opportunities across service lines and partner to translate into realized efficiencies.
- Ensure patient experience achieves desired benchmarks for outstanding service.
- Optimize employee experience to retain an engaged workforce focused on patient experience.
- Recruit, support, and develop an exemplary management, clinical, and technical staff.
- Provide ongoing performance feedback to assigned employees through coaching and mentoring.
- Communicate a strong service management philosophy and develop programs and supports for staff to follow this philosophy.
- Provide direction to the finance team supporting pharmacy with oversight of overall budget performance, including capital and operating budgets, strategic capital requests, and service line performance.
- Monitor national and international trends and forecasts to develop priorities aimed towards growth objectives.
- Keep abreast of new procedures and developments and recommend and implement new concepts or changes.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
- Advanced degree in Pharmacy (Master of Science/Pharm D) or Master's in Business Administration.
- Current State licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current State within 90 days of hire.
- A minimum of eight years of progressively more responsible clinical and pharmacy management experience.
- Experience as a clinical and administrative leader in a large tertiary care medical center, preferably as a part of an integrated health care system.
- Experience in the entire continuum of care (e.g. inpatient, outpatient, pharmacy benefit management, etc.) is desirable.
