Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Food Service Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the product development team with various sensory projects, including difference panels, attribute training, and team tastings.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist product development team with sensory projects, including panel preparation, sample preparation, and setting up the panel room.
Work with minimal supervision, ideally between 8am and 4pm, and understand the scope of sensory projects and expectations.
Responsible for panel preparation, including making up references, sample preparation, and serving references/samples during training.
Set up sensory booths, including sample cups/plate labeling, and start and finish the sensory tests using the Eye Question program.
Serve samples during panels and clean up the panel room, sample prep lab, and booths.
Maintain general cleaning of the sensory space and assist with restocking panel room, booths, and sensory lab area.
Help with routine food safety maintenance and compliance with Cargill Food Safety, EHS, and PPE policies.
Document and protect all information to protect and ensure any and all patentable advances in technology as required by company policy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks on a deadline basis and work effectively with a team as well as independently.
Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs.

Requirements:

High School Degree/GED
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ability to work in a lab environment and maintain good food manufacturing practice.
Reliable transportation to/from work site and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:
Lab experience and kitchen experience is a plus.
