Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled General Laborer to join our Processing Department team at Butterball, LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the processing of turkeys.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and trim turkeys to ensure quality and safety standards
  • Remove scabs, feathers, and other imperfections from the birds
  • Check for bruises, scabs, tears, and other defects
  • Trim or remove parts of the birds as needed to ensure a wholesome product
  • Sanitize knives and equipment to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Monitor and inspect for fecal matter on the birds and report any issues to the team lead
Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and hang birds as required
  • Knowledge of proper PPE usage and ability to follow safety protocols
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
Working Conditions

Our Processing Department is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and a strong work ethic. You will be working in a damp environment with loud and noisy machinery, and may be exposed to chemical fumes and pungent odors.
