Position Overview

We are in search of a skilled and knowledgeable Avionics Engineer to contribute to our mission of enhancing space exploration and sustainable agriculture through innovative hardware solutions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of avionics systems tailored for sustainable living in space environments. This position demands a robust understanding of aerospace engineering principles, electronic systems, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the design and electrical integration of avionics systems for space exploration payloads and facilities.
  • Conduct thorough peer reviews and provide approval for electrical designs during various design phases.
  • Perform detailed engineering evaluations and assessments.
  • Engage in the fabrication and assembly of new product developments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive design execution within project timelines.
  • Manage the development of avionics systems through all integration stages, from production to operational deployment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in prototype and production assemblies.
  • Establish, execute, and document verification processes for avionics systems on flight and representative hardware.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in avionics system development.
  • Familiarity with ISS payload development and integration.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python and C/C++.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Fluency in additional languages such as French, Italian, or German.
  • Experience in rapidly designing and delivering reliable products for over 2 years.
  • Comprehensive experience in electronic product development from concept to production.
  • Proficient in testing, troubleshooting, and debugging electronic systems.
  • Experience working on aerospace systems for at least 2 years.
Working Conditions
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary to meet critical project milestones.
