We are seeking a skilled Food Service Worker to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a key member of our food services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our kitchens.
Key Responsibilities- Setup, stock, and sanitize workstations according to standard procedures.
- Collect and dispose of refuse according to department policy, and hand wash pots/pans according to standard procedure.
- Clean steam kettles, grills, ovens, carts, exhaust hood, refrigerators, tray line equipment, floors, walls, ceilings, and other related equipment according to standard procedures.
- Store food, paper, and chemical supplies in appropriate areas, and maintain equipment in good working order.
- Assist in care and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies, and maintain work area in clean, orderly, and safe condition.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Understanding of basic weights and measures, and basic mathematical functions.
- Ability to stoop and lift 30 pounds, and push and pull 300 pounds.
