Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our Human Resources team at Talbert Building Supply, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering our payroll and benefits programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and providing exceptional service to our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll: Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll, including salaries, commissions, bonuses, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions, utilizing our HRIS (Paylocity) system.
  • Benefits: Administer employee benefits programs, such as health, dental, vision, accident, disability, life insurance, and 401(k), ensuring accurate and timely processing of benefits changes and deductions.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions and benefits administration.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Employee Support: Provide exceptional service to employees, addressing and resolving payroll and benefits-related inquiries and issues.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of in-depth payroll processing experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll function, including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of employee benefits and applicable laws.
  • Ability to interact with staff at all levels of the organization and outside professionals and service providers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
