FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Summary: Under general supervision, you will work on the production line to assemble manufactured housing as part of a collaborative team, ensuring quality output in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing all assigned manual labor tasks.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Utilizing a tape measure accurately.
  • Interpreting blueprints and work orders.
  • Communicating effectively with team members.
  • Operating hand tools, pneumatic tools, and electrical equipment.

  • Ability to work efficiently and systematically.
  • Understanding of safety protocols.
  • Excellent teamwork abilities.
  • Commitment to Champion Operating Principles.

Qualifications:

  • Less than a high school diploma; or up to one month of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or modular housing is preferred.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.

While executing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands for handling or feeling, reach with hands and arms, and communicate verbally. The employee frequently walks, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
