Position Summary:

As a Quality Control Chemist, you will engage in both routine and specialized tasks in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will be accountable for Quality Control operations related to the assessment of raw materials and finished products, laboratory formulation, and analytical evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform precise data analysis and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality Control SOPs across all responsibilities and address any deviations from established processes.
  • Conduct material analyses using instruments such as HPLC, ICP-MS, HPTLC, FT-IR, and UV-Vis as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with the Laboratory Manager and/or the QC Chemist to validate and qualify new testing methodologies.
  • Execute Environmental & Water Monitoring assessments as required.
  • Carry out additional wet chemistry tests including Specific Gravity, Jones Reagent, Solubility, and Fill Weight Verification.
  • Coordinate testing of raw materials and products with external contract laboratories as needed.
  • Assist in the investigation of non-conforming products and their disposition.
  • Review and authorize batch records.
  • Evaluate and approve powders for encapsulation and finished products.
  • Support the drafting and creation of Safety Data Sheets.
  • Provide backup and assistance for Quality Control functions as necessary.
  • Complete projects and other tasks as assigned by the QC Manager.
Qualifications:

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a GMP-compliant environment.
  • Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) within the Dietary Supplement sector, particularly in quality control.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal, technical writing, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
