Job Title: Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler Inspection Helper

Western States Fire Protection is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler Inspection Helper to join our team. As a key member of our Life Safety Systems team, you will be responsible for testing and inspecting fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections and testing of fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems
  • Handle low-voltage wiring and devices for the operation of low-voltage equipment
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to perform fire protection inspections
  • Communicate daily with lead inspectors to ensure seamless operations
Requirements:
  • CSA certification preferred, or willingness to obtain within 6 months
  • Knowledge of life safety and NFPA codes
  • Working knowledge of alarm panels, devices, and critical components
  • Working knowledge of sprinkler controls, alarm panels, devices, and critical components
  • Ability to work nights as needed
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to coordinate between inspection deficiencies and service required to correct found deficiencies
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from lead inspectors, managers, customers, AHJs, and the general public
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Pass a post-offer drug screen, background, and reference check
