Job Title: Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Inspector

Western States Fire Protection is seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Inspector to join our team. As a Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Inspector, you will be responsible for testing and inspecting fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems, ensuring they meet industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections and testing of fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems
  • Handle low-voltage wiring and devices for the operation of low-voltage equipment
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to perform fire protection inspections
  • Communicate daily with project managers and schedule coordinators on inspection or project delays, requirements, and job status
  • Collaborate with project managers, schedule coordinators, and office administrative staff to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to clients
Requirements:
  • NICET Level II or III certification preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of life safety and NFPA codes
  • Possession of required licenses for the local office preferred
  • Working knowledge of alarm panels, devices, and critical components
  • Working knowledge of sprinkler controls, alarm panels, devices, and critical components
  • Ability to perform testing and maintenance
  • Proficiency in using personal computers and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, AHJs, and the public
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, in accordance with company policy
  • Willingness to pass pre-employment drug screen, background, and reference check
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Regular bending, reaching, climbing, and walking
