The Mathematics Educator will play a vital role in the academic framework and associated activities within our Remedial Education Program. This position involves collaboration with the Director of Education to design and execute an effective educational program, ensuring its seamless operation. The educator will contribute to building a positive community among staff and students, always prioritizing the program's best interests. This role reports directly to the Director of Education and is not eligible for overtime compensation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following responsibilities outline the various tasks associated with this position. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Facilitates assessment and evaluation of each student’s academic level, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Delivers instruction in mathematics, employing tailored teaching methods.
  • Provides personalized counseling to students to support their academic journey.
  • Keeps the Director of Education informed about each student's progress in mathematics and behavioral development.
  • Continuously implements, develops, and assesses the academic program.
  • Maintains proficiency in the educational tools and resources utilized in the program.
  • Assists in evaluating and procuring necessary educational materials within budget constraints.
  • Ensures cleanliness and upkeep of academic spaces, promptly reporting maintenance needs.
  • Keeps accurate records and fulfills necessary administrative tasks.
  • Implements effective classroom management strategies.
  • Participates in staff meetings, team discussions, and mandatory training sessions (completing a minimum of 40 hours of training annually is required).
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A bachelor's degree in Education and a valid Florida Teaching Certificate is preferred for core academic subjects, including Mathematics. However, candidates with a relevant degree or experience in a related field may also be considered. Applicants for elective teaching positions should possess a degree in a related discipline or relevant experience.

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $43,680.00 / Annually
