About the Role:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for the Surgical Unit II at Community Medical Center.

As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide nursing care as directed by medical staff and in accordance with the objectives, policies, and procedures of the hospital and the State Nurse Practice Act.

You will maintain the standards of nursing care as established and use an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment.

The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the healthcare system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and administer individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care.
  • Provides nursing care as directed by medical staff and in accordance with the objectives, policies, and procedures of the hospital and the State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Maintains the standards of nursing care as established.
  • Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment.

Requirements:

  • ASN or Nursing Diploma
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Certifications and Licenses
  • BLS certification
  • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
