We are seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Community Medical Center, a 592-bed, fully accredited acute care hospital. As a leader in academic medicine, we provide patient-centered, high-quality care in a compassionate and equitable manner.

About the Role

The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care to patients in the Surgical Unit II, utilizing the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize the plan to address specific patient needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, as well as proficiency in computer skills and certifications such as BLS.

Responsibilities
  • Organize and administer individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital.
  • Provide nursing care as directed by medical staff and in accordance with the objectives, policies, and procedures of the hospital and the State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Maintain the standards of nursing care as established.
  • Use an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment.
Requirements
  • ASN or Nursing Diploma
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Certifications and Licenses: BLS certification, Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
  • Preferred: BSN or must be completed within 5 years upon hire
