Armed Security Officer

Ambassador Worldwide Protection Agency, Inc. is a leading provider of private protective services and security solutions on a global scale. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Armed Security Officer to join our team in the Memphis, TN metropolitan area.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and operate CCTV cameras and other security equipment to ensure the safety and security of the premises
  • Conduct regular patrols of assigned post and on client's property to deter and detect any criminal activity
  • Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies
  • Enforce access control procedures, verifying identification and ensuring only authorized personnel enter restricted areas
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, answering inquiries, and addressing any issues or concerns
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies and other team members to maintain a safe environment
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods and detain an individual if necessary
  • Must demonstrate a strong ability to recognize, analyze, and enforce security measures to mitigate potential risks
  • Must uphold agency's principles and adhere to all standard operating procedures
Requirements
  • Must be a citizen of the United States and be able to start work immediately
  • Must be a High School Graduate or possess a GED
  • Must have possession of an active State of Tennessee Armed Security Guard Card
  • Must have own weapon & duty belt with Level II or III holster
  • Proficient in firearms knowledge and the ability to successfully qualify on additional weapon, if needed
  • Must have own reliable transportation
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience working as a licensed security officer
  • Good moral character with no convictions for DUI, Domestic Violence, Drug or Narcotics charges, theft or other dishonest acts
  • No disability that would hinder the ability to perform required duties
  • Must be able to successfully pass a physical agility test and drug test
  • Must have a valid driver's license to be considered to operate a company vehicle
  • Strong observation skills and able to give attention to detail
  • Must not have been dishonorably discharged from U.S. military service
  • Must have excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
  • Must be able to work as a team or independently
