The Symicor Group is seeking a highly experienced Commercial Credit Officer to join our team in Miami, FL. As a key member of our credit team, you will be responsible for analyzing and approving credit requests, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Review and approve credit requests to ensure adherence to policy guidelines.
- Approve or deny loans within assigned credit authority for various lending groups.
- Establish and implement administrative and review systems to protect loan portfolio quality and profitability.
- Provide training and development to credit analysts and underwriting staff.
- Advise credit and lending staff on lending policy and underwriting standards.
- Assist in creating and administering policies and procedures.
- Facilitate external loan review process and serve as key point of contact for loan audit and compliance functions.
- Manage relationships with vendors, including lending software partners and credit report providers.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in bank lending, with in-depth knowledge of credit analysis, banking laws, and regulations.
- 8 years of experience with a bank of at least $2B in asset size.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, management, communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong Excel skills and ability to calculate necessary ratios for credit analysis.
- Previous Credit Approval Authority required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Finance or Accounting.
