Position Overview:
We are in search of an experienced Network and Cloud Engineer II to enhance our digital infrastructure within the construction sector. This pivotal role will be essential in facilitating our digital evolution and maintaining the integrity of our network and cloud environments. You will engage with advanced technologies and collaborate with a team of skilled professionals, making this an excellent opportunity for those with a robust background in network and cloud engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect, deploy, and oversee secure and efficient network and cloud systems utilizing AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Create and uphold network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, LAN, WAN, and SAN.
  • Automate network and cloud operations through scripting languages including Python, Powershell, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Safeguard network and cloud environments by implementing cybersecurity strategies, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Administer network hardware including routers, switches, and load balancers, executing configuration and management tasks as required.
  • Support the deployment and administration of network virtualization, SDN, and SD-WAN technologies.
  • Manage NAS configurations and administration, covering NFS, SMB, and CIFS.
  • Continuously assess network and cloud performance, troubleshoot challenges, and propose enhancements to improve system reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with various teams to identify their requirements and deliver network and cloud solutions that align with business goals.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in network and cloud engineering, ideally within the construction sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, including services like IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Expertise in network protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, LAN, WAN, and SAN.
  • Strong automation and scripting capabilities, particularly in Python, Powershell, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles and experience with security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Familiarity with network hardware including routers, switches, and load balancers.
  • Proven experience with network virtualization, SDN, and SD-WAN.
  • Knowledge of NAS configurations and administration, including NFS, SMB, and CIFS.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CCNP are advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
