Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance and Repair Specialist to join our team at Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. As a key member of our electrical construction and maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance on machinery, systems, and automotive vehicles, as well as identifying and resolving issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Regular Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machinery, systems, and automotive vehicles, including tire and track maintenance.
  • Collaborate with Crew Members: Meet with crew members and leads to understand their concerns and identify potential issues.
  • Assemble Mechanical Components: Assemble mechanical components according to specifications.
  • Diagnose and Troubleshoot: Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
  • Develop Maintenance Plans: Design a plan of action for all maintenance equipment tasks and upgrades.
  • Record Maintenance Activities: Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
  • Manage Inventory: Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary.
  • Perform Vehicle Assessments: Perform vehicle/equipment assessments and alert appropriate parties on issues that will prohibit their vehicle/equipment from operating correctly or passing an inspection.
  • Conduct DOT Inspections: Perform DOT inspections.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of two years' experience in a related field.
  • Tools: Must provide own tools.
  • Skills: Experience in electrical, hydraulics, and diesel preferred.
  • CDL: Must have or be eligible to obtain a Class A CDL.
  • Travel: Must be willing to travel when necessary.
  • Work Hours: 50+ hours a week expected.
