As a Lead Fund Accounting Manager at CBRE, you will play a pivotal role in our Investment Accounting & Reporting Solutions team, contributing to a dynamic and expanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:
- Oversee the review of NAV calculations and ensure the accuracy of financial packages.
- Generate, assess, and confirm financial documentation, including statements for commingled funds and separate accounts, while providing insightful analysis and commentary.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements and assist in the audit and tax preparation processes.
- Manage portfolio budgets, forecasts, and reporting for clients and investors.
- Monitor financial performance and offer strategic guidance to the leadership team.
- Review periodic profit and loss calculations at both fund and investor levels.
- Oversee treasury and cash management functions.
- Ensure the accuracy of system-generated reports and supporting schedules.
- Review and approve fund-level bank account reconciliations.
- Assist with financial institutions in managing financing arrangements and executing loan agreements.
- Act as the primary contact for investors.
- Maintain shareholder registries and prepare data for presentations.
- Address issues promptly and ensure that requests are managed efficiently.
- If applicable, guide direct reports in areas such as recruitment, training, development, and performance management.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance along with over 9 years of experience in fund accounting or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in fund-level accounting, particularly with real estate accounting or fund accounting software systems.
- Strong technical proficiency with GAAP, FASB, REIS, IFRS, and regional standards.
- Familiarity with real estate terminology and analytical methodologies.
- Exceptional coordination skills and sound judgment.
