About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Director to lead our Creating Economic Opportunities and Building Resilient Communities practice area. This is a critical role that will provide strategic oversight and direction to our international programs division, ensuring that our organization's values, methodology, and standards are uniformly implemented across projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Direction: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the practice area, ensuring that our programs are of high quality, innovative, and aligned with our organizational values and methodology.
  • New Business and Program Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop and manage proposals, and lead the design and implementation of high-quality programs.
  • Program Quality and Oversight: Ensure that our programs are of high quality, meet donor requirements, and are implemented in accordance with our organizational standards.
  • Team Supervision and Development: Supervise and develop a team of global professional staff and technical experts, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Representation and Partnerships: Represent NCBA CLUSA to external partners and donors, building and maintaining relationships to advance our organizational goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, International Development, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of increasing responsibility in relevant program and technical work experience in economic growth and resilience, or a related area, including a minimum of 5 years of field experience.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong organizational skills, demonstrated problem analysis and resolution at a functional and strategic level, prior experience working with federally-funded awards, and knowledge of applicable donor rules and regulations.
