Job Title: Security Officer I

At Lancaster General, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer I to join our team. As a Security Officer I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patrol and Monitor: Conduct regular patrols of the hospital premises to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, including security incidents and medical emergencies.
  • Incident Reporting: Document and report all security incidents, including accidents, injuries, and property damage.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with hospital staff, patients, and visitors to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Training and Development: Participate in regular training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in security and risk management.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications: Must complete the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety Basic Certification Program within one year of employment.
  • Skills: Ability to interact with diverse populations, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
