Key Responsibilities- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the Records Manager and other department staff, including scheduling appointments, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records.
- Public Contact: Respond to public inquiries, provide information, and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including police reports, incident reports, and other documents.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with law enforcement agencies, courts, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
- Discretion and Confidentiality: Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum one year of experience in an administrative setting, preferably in a municipal government or law enforcement environment.
- Certifications: Colorado Law Enforcement Records Technician certification and Colorado Association of Municipal Court Administrators certification within one year of employment.
- Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; proficiency in Microsoft Office and police records management systems.
