GENERAL FUNCTION

The Associate Optometrist plays a pivotal role within the organization, embodying the brand's promise and delivering exceptional experiences while achieving key business outcomes through effective collaboration and teamwork.

This position guarantees that all patients receive top-tier Optometric care by adhering to clinical protocols, while also fostering growth and results through a strong partnership with the Store Manager, store team, and Regional Manager.

The Associate Optometrist is responsible for meeting key performance indicators and acts as a prominent ambassador for the Brand, driven by a passion for excellence and a commitment to surpassing expectations.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensures operational excellence and successful outcomes in collaboration with the Store Manager and store team.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to exceeding performance metrics through proficient KPI management and accountability.
  • Establishes the Brand as the foremost optical provider within the community.
  • Functions as a key stakeholder to all leaders within the organization and the local market.
  • Prioritizes patient/customer needs and delivers outstanding service.
  • Aims to exceed expectations on all performance indicators.
  • Commits to providing unparalleled Patient Service by ensuring staff follows the Service Process steps, including addressing all patients/customers' visual lifestyle needs.
  • Recommends eyewear based on patients/customers' requirements.
  • Explains each step of the eye examination process while actively listening to patients/customers.
  • Utilizes available tools and visual aids to summarize and ensure patients understand every aspect of their vision, eye health, and overall well-being.
  • Effectively communicates the necessity for annual eye exams to patients and ensures appointments are scheduled accordingly.
  • Conducts all services in line with established protocols and accepted standards of care.

Ensures that all patients receive accurate diagnoses and appropriate recommendations.

  • Fosters a positive Doctor/patient relationship.
  • Effectively utilizes technology to enhance patient/customer experiences.
  • Maintains office systems and ensures compliance with operational standards.

Maintains State Licensure in good standing and practices within the full scope of that license, while being responsible for fulfilling Continuing Education requirements.

Provides effective training and guidance to team members utilizing Company-provided programs.

  • Delivers clear, motivating, and constructive feedback to all associates in a timely manner.
  • Creates a positive workplace culture aligned with corporate values, identifying individual motivators and directing conversations and actions accordingly.
  • Encourages associate decision-making at the level closest to the patient.
  • Maximizes partnerships through leadership, participation, and involvement.
  • Takes pride in maintaining the office's appearance.
  • Ensures a safe working environment for all associates and patients.
  • Leads by example.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Doctor of Optometry
  • Commitment to quality patient care
  • Knowledge of current Optometric theory and technology
