We are seeking to add a Lean Project Management Consultant to our team, specifically within our Houston Hub. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to advance as a Project Management professional and will be tasked with delivering insights on the application of Lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency, minimize waste, and elevate overall project performance. This position necessitates a profound understanding of Lean principles, outstanding project management capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Applying Lean principles and tools to identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and enhance project results.
  • Creating and executing Lean project plans, which involve defining project scope, setting objectives, and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Engaging with project stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for Lean initiatives.
  • Tracking project progress, measuring performance metrics, and reporting on the effectiveness of Lean activities.
  • Providing coaching and mentorship to project teams on Lean methodologies and best practices.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.

Who You Are:

You hold at least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred. You have 3-8 years of experience in Project Management or Project Coordination, with a proven history of successfully implementing Lean practices in project settings, particularly within manufacturing sectors. A Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) is highly advantageous. You possess a comprehensive understanding of Project and Program Management (PPM) principles and methodologies, with the ability to translate foundational knowledge into practical applications.

Your strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills are essential for effectively executing and supporting the delivery of projects that contribute to client growth and competitiveness. You are analytical, detail-oriented, and an adept communicator, capable of adjusting your communication style to suit your audience. You thrive in dynamic environments and have experience working within large, complex organizations. Your proactive, confident, and engaging nature makes you an excellent collaborator with project stakeholders.

Interview Process Overview:

  • Initial phone screening with a recruiter.
  • Standard interview lasting one hour with an MP Business Manager.
  • Technical interview consisting of a one-hour review and preparation of case study slides, followed by a one-hour presentation to a Business Manager.
