  • Standard Cost Models: Develop and maintain standard cost models, updating them as necessary to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for cost discrepancies, ensuring that all variances are investigated and resolved.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing cost-related insights to support business planning.
  • Cost Reporting: Prepare and analyze cost reports, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with production and procurement teams to optimize cost control, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and working towards common goals.
  • Closing Processes: Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary cost accounting entries, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards, maintaining the highest level of integrity and transparency in all financial activities.
  • Audits: Assist with internal and external audits related to cost accounting, providing support and guidance to ensure that all audit requirements are met.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven 4 years of experience as a Cost Accountant or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in the agriculture or manufacturing industry, with a professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA) a plus.
