The Facility Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the thorough cleaning of various areas including restrooms, offices, break rooms, locker rooms, kitchenettes, showers, stairwells, corridors, and elevators. The role encompasses a variety of tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting to ensure a clean and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness in offices, corridors, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, escalators, break rooms, libraries, kitchenettes, stairways, locker rooms, and other designated areas.
- Sweep and mop floors effectively.
- Vacuum rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture.
- Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
- Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork to maintain a hygienic atmosphere.
- Empty waste receptacles and transport trash to disposal areas.
- Replenish supplies in restrooms as needed.
- Uphold quality standards in all cleaning tasks.
- Adhere to Didlake's policies regarding conduct and behavior.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines when using equipment.
- Complete all required training as mandated by Didlake.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School diploma/GED or a minimum of 6 months of custodial experience.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Effective communication skills with colleagues.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
- Capability to interact positively with individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to navigate environments with varying surfaces.
