Costume Department Director

Job Summary:
The Sr. Manager, Entertainment Costuming is responsible for providing support, direction and assistance to the Entertainment Costume Operations and Costume Fabrication teams. This includes overseeing and managing the staff and the day to day costume operations of multiple venues and/or areas as well as the fabrication and repair of costumes.
This role requires a strong leader who can promote positive guest and employee experiences by ensuring that all areas and aspects of the business are running at the optimum performance level. The ideal candidate will have experience in costume technology, maintenance, care and operations, as well as managerial or supervisory experience of multiple departments and personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and lead a culture that promotes a professional, collaborative, inspiring, fun and teamwork-driven work setting for all Team Members.
- Oversee the daily operation of the Costume Areas, including managing staff and process/procedures, and providing necessary direction and/or support for Guests, Team Members and operations.
- Lead Managers and Supervisors in Entertainment Costuming, including assignment and delegation of tasks, projects and duties and provide expectations, ongoing development and process improvement.
- Create, implement and manage an on-going Action Plan to improve and maintain Team Member engagement and satisfaction including training programs, workforce planning, and rewards and recognition programs driving the department's future success (TSAT).
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years in a Costume Department or equivalent.
- Experience in costume technology, maintenance, care and operations.
- Managerial or supervisory experience of multiple departments and personnel.
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and walking/traveling to multiple venues throughout the day.
Salary: $95,000 - $110,000
