Molecular Oncology Specialist

The Molecular Oncology Specialist is a senior sales role responsible for driving growth within an assigned territory through new account acquisition and strategic sales planning.
Key Responsibilities- Sell oncology services and products to medical oncologists, pathologists, and surgical oncologists.
- Provide business solutions to community oncologists and analyze business opportunities to develop strategic sales plans.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, including medical and surgical oncology specialists.
- Understand and navigate the billing and reimbursement laboratory landscape to provide expert support to clients.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and competitive insights to provide valuable information to the AVP.
- Provide post-sales service to accounts and identify opportunities for additional business.
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with key personnel in assigned accounts.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Several successful years selling into the molecular profiling and/or oncology space.
- Strong knowledge of oncology therapeutics, surgical oncology intervention, and molecular laboratory science.
- Deep relationships with and access to medical and/or surgical oncology specialists.
- Strong knowledge of and access to regional hospital systems.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Internet for business use.
- Master's in Business Administration.
- 5-7+ years of successful oncology sales experience in a diagnostic, medical device, or pharma company.
- Familiarity with local pathologists.
