Role Summary and Requirements

The Practical Nursing Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused care by executing a range of delegated basic patient care tasks. Collaborating with RNs and other healthcare professionals, the LPN/LVN ensures personalized, comprehensive care in line with established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct clinical tasks such as monitoring vital signs, collecting lab samples, performing EKGs, and administering injections.
  • Manage patient documentation, including history collection and electronic health record maintenance.
  • Apply dressings and bandages as needed.
  • Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of in-house lab work and other relevant activities.
  • Communicate clinic progress to patients and visitors.
  • Adhere to occupational protocols and preferences.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program.
  • Current nursing license in the state of practice.
  • Preferred: 1+ years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to obtain BLS Certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Must secure Federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Drug Screening Certifications within 3 months of hire.
