Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at The University of Kansas Health System. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our ambulatory clinic.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate patient care through the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer medications, perform vital signs, and record patient information accurately and safely.
  • Assist with the preparation of supplies and equipment, and aid physicians during treatment, examination, and testing.
  • Collect, document, and deliver lab specimens, and obtain lab results and other reports as needed.
  • Notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments, and refer to RN/MD for patient care.
  • Respond to and screen telephone calls for referral to RN or physician.
  • Coordinate pre-visit planning by reviewing the EMR and proactively ordering labs and other tests based on approved clinic protocols.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
  • High school graduate.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) certification.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in the state of Kansas or Missouri.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous medical office experience.
