Position Summary

The Operations Supervisor at our Distribution Center (DC) is tasked with strategizing and overseeing workload distribution for a designated department or sector within the DC. This role involves guiding team members towards peak performance, achieving essential performance metrics and objectives, while ensuring adherence to company policies and maintaining a customer-centric approach. The Supervisor will lead a team of DC Team Members, ensuring that training and performance meet company standards. Under the general supervision of a Manager, this position will plan, organize, and direct warehouse operations for the assigned Operations Team, which may encompass selection, shipping & receiving, and other related functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee performance activities to ensure daily objectives and priorities are achieved while upholding quality and safety standards. Assess Team Member performance and adjust priorities as necessary to meet daily targets.
  • Facilitate effective communication across all organizational levels to enhance efficiency in work processes and foster a positive work atmosphere. Collaborate with peers and management to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Conduct comprehensive training sessions with Team Members to promote optimal performance. Provide continuous mentorship and development opportunities for existing staff.
  • Implement and uphold DC company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Duties

Manage a team within the DC Operations, executing performance management for team members.

Qualifications

Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory role is required, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced distribution center or manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to stand or walk on concrete for extended periods.
  • Capability to climb metal stairs and/or ladders.
  • Proficient in operating a computer and other office equipment.
  • Physical agility to sit, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and twist.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 65 lbs. unassisted and 75 lbs. with assistance.
