Material Handler II

At Bell Laboratories Inc, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler II to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Retrieve finished goods from production areas, prepare them for shipping, and ensure timely delivery to the designated transition area.
2. Prepare packaging material skid tags with accurate information, including skid count, part number, and date, for WIP materials in the RAMFL location and Receiving warehouse.
3. Assist with production changeovers by removing unnecessary packaging from production lines and placing it in the staging area in Receiving.
4. Collect recyclables from production lines, put shrink wrap in the bailer, and return empty gaylords to production.
5. Collect loose empty tridecka totes and place them on production lines or the applicable collection area as space permits.
6. Collect loose pallets and place them in front of the pallet trailer, with a maximum of 20 pallets per stack.
7. Provide support to Material Handlers and Receivers as needed.
8. Maintain a thorough knowledge of Bell products, their related packaging, marking requirements, and proper packaging procedures.
9. Perform additional tasks assigned by the Receiving Supervisor.
10. Maintain a neat, orderly, and clean department and work environment.
11. Familiarize yourself with and follow safety rules and procedures, including safety wear and emergency procedures.
12. Arrive and report to the previous shift Material Handler I prior to the start of your shift to ensure adequate shift turnover.
13. Perform overtime and other duties as assigned.
14. Obtain forklift certification and maintain a valid driver's license.
Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience: Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The ability to multi-task, attention to detail, accuracy, basic math skills, good organizational skills, and good verbal communication skills are required.
Equipment Operated: Forklift, pallet-jacks (manual and electric), cardboard and trash compactor, bailer, loading dock lifts, and scales.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently/100 pounds occasionally is required.
