UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic II to join our operations team. This role is responsible for performing basic preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and tools, and assisting other members of the Maintenance Department in various machine/building repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular, preventative maintenance on all machinery, equipment, tools, and building
  • Assist in the repair of woodworking machinery, infeed/outfeed systems, hand tools, and forklifts in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturer specifications
  • Order supplies and parts as required
  • Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled
  • Maintain records of repair and maintenance activities
  • Perform duties consistent with established safety rules and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Participate in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
  • Prepare various reports as required

Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in machine repair in maintenance, working in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology, and welding
  • Working knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures and practices
