Overview:
The Business Operations Manager acts as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers within the market.

Expertly manages and drives the five essential competencies:

Core Competencies:
business strategy formulation, performance assessment, product and inventory oversight, pricing and revenue optimization, demand forecasting and budgeting. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to create and execute strategic business plans. Responsible for fostering and enhancing behaviors aligned with Breakthru Beverage Group's Trade Development mission. Must consistently adhere to established business protocols and support the Reliability Model. Serves as the local market authority on customers, brands, key sales drivers, trends, and market dynamics.

Salary and Benefits Overview:


Any proposed salary is determined based on internal equity, market data, and the applicant's skills and relevant experience.


Compensation Package:
Range: $73,000 - $110,000

This role is eligible for participation in a bonus program, with metrics and participation levels determined annually.


This position also qualifies for health care benefits, life insurance, paid time off, and participation in the Company's 401(k) plan.


Key Responsibilities:
Business Strategy Development:
Embrace and cultivate behaviors consistent with our Trade Development mission.

Establish a systematic business planning process with assigned suppliers.

Develop and execute monthly business plans for assigned suppliers.

Implement business planning processes with identified sales leads.

Provide comprehensive and timely sales information documents to highlight brand-building activities.

Identify local market opportunities by leveraging key sales drivers.

Develop and deliver sales documents, including pricing, advertising, and promotional materials (supported by analytics).

Negotiate and communicate incentives and up to 20 rationalized goals per supplier/brand/product.

Manage goal models for assigned suppliers.

Always adhere to established business protocols.

Performance Assessment:
Regularly evaluate performance metrics for all key activities.

Ensure comprehensive supplier scorecards are maintained.

Provide consistent updates on performance metrics versus budget.

Support and uphold our Reliability Model.

Product and Inventory Oversight:
Collaborate effectively with Data Stewards.

Ensure proper management of sales and purchase blocks.

Maintain allocation business rules consistently.

In partnership with Finance, identify overstocked products.

Measure and take action on aged and overstocked products.

Establish business rules for innovation, discontinued, and vintage products.

Pricing and Revenue Optimization:
Establish effective collaboration with Revenue Management.

Engage and negotiate with suppliers regarding pricing changes.

Implement a consistent approach for pricing communication with sales teams.

Ensure adherence to pricing business rules by Revenue Management and Sales teams.

Negotiate and manage the tactical budget to ensure effective investment spending.

Demand Forecasting and Budgeting:
Establish effective collaboration with Demand Planning.

Actively participate in and prepare for monthly demand processes.

Manage the local market financial budget for Breakthru Beverage Group.

Negotiate and manage tactical budgets with assigned suppliers to ensure effective investment spending.

Establish settlement procedures with finance and execute them to drive program effectiveness.

Provide consistent feedback on forecast anomalies to purchasing and demand planning.

Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent training and experience.

Minimum of 5 years of industry experience.

Advanced proficiency in MS Office and various computer programs, including presentation software.

Results-oriented professional with strong verbal and written communication skills, utilizing diplomacy and discretion, along with customer service skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently or within a team, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines.

Strong business planning and collaboration skills.

Knowledge of trade development fundamentals (supplier, sales, customer, and brand).

Strong skills in sales, finance, budget management, negotiation, and management.

Ability to translate strategy into relevant marketplace activities.

Analytical and reporting skills.

Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous management experience.

Relevant cross-functional experience (finance, operations, IT, HR, project management, etc.).

Proficient in analyzing syndicated consumer data (IRI, Nielsen).

Budget and/or P&L experience with a major CPG company.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to remain in a stationary position at times; communicate, and operate a computer and telephone.
