Position Title: Manufacturing Operations Leader
Function: Production Management
Role Summary: The Manufacturing Operations Leader is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the Production team; driving enhancements to manufacturing processes to achieve quality, timely delivery, and health & safety standards; and providing guidance on all operational matters. This role reports to the Executive Vice President.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet weekly and monthly production targets by identifying and resolving bottlenecks, availability, yield, and efficiency challenges across departments.
- Deliver accurate, validated, and timely production data analysis to support labor quotations; proactively address issues related to quotations and resolve concerns.
- Foster a culture of compliance with standardized work and adherence to documented processes to ensure safe practices and maintain product quality standards.
- Collaborate across functions to implement process improvements, new product introductions, and corrective actions promptly.
- Evaluate project and resource needs, assigning tasks and objectives through effective delegation to meet unit goals.
- Oversee and enhance production processes while addressing any production-related challenges.
- Establish and maintain performance metrics, evaluate employee performance, and recommend appropriate compensation and disciplinary measures as necessary.
- Organize training sessions for new employees, develop work instructions, and conduct on-the-job training and other educational programs.
- Build a high-performing team by setting clear expectations and managing performance effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of supervisory or management experience in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) sector (including PCBA, Box build, and/or conformal coating).
- Strong technical understanding of processes, equipment, bottlenecks, and line balancing to collaborate effectively with Engineering and Maintenance teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio; familiarity with PLM systems is advantageous.
- Understanding of ISO systems is beneficial.
